Zen and the Art of Internet Spaceship Maintenance

Over the past week I have spent a bit of time in W-Space again. I popped out into Known space in the Tash-Murkon region and picked up some much needed skill books along with a few remote rep mods I had forgotten to bring along. Then after about a day I jumped back into W-space. Most of my time has been spent probing trying to find RADAR and Mag sites as these seem to be my best shot at making some ISK while maintaining my nomadic lifestyle. Unfortunately this has not worked out well. I have been able to pull this off but I spend far too much time scanning and there are far too few of the appropriate site types to keep me busy.

As of last night I pulled back into K-space and turned up in the Molden Heath region once again. I began scanning for a new W-space entrance but didn’t find the right target within the time I had left before needing to crash for some much needed Z’s.

Since my plan to simply rape the Mag and RADAR sites has not turned out well I plan to deck out my probing ship with some scanning rigs to make things a bit more efficient. Also I am now considering moving towards a more full fledged industrial aim in order to take advantage of the mining and gas harvesting possibilities.  In order to do this will require bringing in more barges with me and probably moving up to a medium POS with some real deffensive capabilities.  It also may require the use of my main and so I am considering pulling out of Atlas/MVN and going full time with my wormhole explorations.  This is not an easy decision and I’m still not sure that is what I want to do. If I were to fully devote myself to W-space I think I would want to do it with a corp devoted to it. This leaves me 2 options. I could join an existing corp with these goals or I could start a corp of my own dedicated to the exploitation of W-space. I have run a corp and an alliance in the past.  I have spent several months now fleeing from the responsibilities of these positions but I may be starting to feel the itch again. We’ll see. I’ll be mulling this over the course of the next week.
